Last week I talked about wanting to spend more time with my kids. I have held true to that. My house has not been cleaned-cleaned this week (I have kept it picked up, dishes done, laundry done). Today, I had court (for work) and picked the kids up. We stayed outside from the time we got home (about 3:00) until supper time. We did have to go in then because of baths, homework, etc... I thought I would share this picture that Pumpkin Pie drew of our family. She has never been the kind of kid that likes to draw, color, or write but has recently started showing an interest in drawing. She joked that she made dad's hair white because he is going gray!

so cute...maybe her aunt shannon has inspired her creative side:) hehe!! Hopefully we can catch up sometime soon!
rob used to play eye spy every moring in the car with her on the way to school...until she syied something white and he went thru all the white things in the car and she then said, no daddy it's the white in your hair!! he quit playing eye spy and went unto other car games!!!
Pumpkin Pie has done the same thing to Matt and honestly over the past few months, it seems that his hair is getting more gray. He's still handsome though! I feel quite confident, Shannon that it has been your inspirations that has led to many of Pumpkin Pie's projects. She definitely looks up to you! But then look at her options (just joking).
I have always believed there are things more important than cleaning/laundry/dishes (the fact that I am housework challenged has nothing to do with it. Really. *looking innocent*) My house is rarely in a condition my mother (the consumate tidier upper) would approve of, and when it is, it is largely due to my hunny :)
I think one of the main reasons our relationship works is because at it's inception, I was the Clutter Queen (stuffs everywhere, but clean underneath), and he was the Cleaning King (I couldn't set my coffee cup down to go pee, 'cuz I'd come back to find it washed, dried & put away, LOL), but we have managed to come to a happy medium - I am tidier, and he deals with me *grin*
Anywho, housework will wait, kids keep growing..."Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things."- Robert Brault
