Deprivation
As I type, my children are playing in the backyard (their dad is watching them). As I was letting my children out to play (makes them sound like dogs), I told Pumpkin Pie to take off her socks and go out. It is 82 degrees! She looks at me and says, "but how will I walk in the grass?" I walked out with her and demonstrated that feet can walk in grass with or without shoes. She, being the more sensitive child, gets angry at me. She did go on out and play but it made me think about how much I love to be barefoot as a kid and even now. If I could wear flip-flops or be barefoot all of the time, I so would do it. Of all the things that I want my kids to learn, I want them to learn how to have fun and enjoy textures. So this leads me to my next goal of running around outside all summer with the kids and without shoes!

I am so proud! Barefoot is the way to be. We have to be good moms and raise our kids to love being barefoot and living in pj's!!!:) hehe! (and scrapbooking of course!)
