Pumpkin Pie does her homework on her own and then I critique it. Keep in mind that she is in second grade and knows how to spell fairly well. I could not help but laugh at her grammatical errors as we discussed her homework tonight. She obviously was in a big hurry to complete the lesson so that she could go outside to play. The following is her story, grammatical errors and all.
Two Famous Presidents
The two famous Presidents are Gorge Washington and Honst Abe. His real name is Abraham Lincon. Gorge was a very very importent man. Here's a strory of him. Ounce there was a little girl with one brother. The dad said now lets go to the Gorge Washington prade. The mother said I can't because someone has to watch the house. I well said daghter so the daghter stayed. And the daghter saw Gorge Washington before her family. Now let's talk about Abe. One day Abe was a salesporsne. He had lots and lots of costomers. One time there was a lady that was por. Abe axidently charded her six cents to much. And Abe walked all the wayto give her six cents back.
Pumpkin Pie did repair the paper and was able to point out almost every one of her mistakes. She laughed along with me over some of the silly things that she done. I cannot say that she learned a lesson from this though, as I am sure that history repeats itself and she will hurry through work again in the future. For anyone who is reading this and did not find the errors in this report, I know you went to the same grade school as me!
