I apologize

I truly apologize for not posting in so long. We have been pretty busy around here.
Friday, we went to Dollywood and Sweet Pea was tall enough to ride the River Rampage and the Mountain Slidewinder so she was on cloud 9. Pumpkin Pie has recently backed out on riding the bigger roller coasters. She was hesitant to ride the Tennessee Tornado but did so without a fight. Beyond that, Matt was out of luck.
Saturday, we went to my cousins graduation in Rogersville. We are so proud that he made it (not that we didn't think that he could, ha! ha!). We also visited with my best friend from forever and her family for a little while. It was nice to be around someone that is just like me. Matt hands over the phone when she calls because she talks too fast for him to understand any of it and it usually does not follow a pattern. I hope to see more of her this summer as well.
Sunday, we laid around the house and played with the girls all day.
Monday (Memorial Day), we had dinner with some dear friends of ours to celebrate my upcoming birthday. Dinner was delicious (grilled steaks, baked potato, macaroni and cheese, and COOKIE CAKE).
We were invited to another cook out that same day that we really wanted to go to but we were exhausted and I am still fighting allergies right now. This weekend seemed to have been really bad and my throat was incredibly sore.

On to better things: My kids have just not been that funny lately. However, Sweet Pea's newest thing is, "Can you give me a favor?" And my favorite thing- last night, Sweet Pea was talking to her dad and stated, "You're a maniac." I'm sure that she has heard me say something similar!

I will keep a closer ear out for the things they say this week, I promise. On a happier note, Matt and I (along with the girls) are having a Nintendo night tonight. We are going old school to the original Nintendo Entertainment System. WooHoo!
